A day Trip in the Impressionist Painters spot : visit of Barbizon village and hiking through its forest
Discover the charming village of on the edge of Fontainebleau forest and visit a very unique place where the great painters Rousseau, Corot, Daubigny, Millet painted.
You will have a full day to visit the Barbizon sightseeing points such as art galleries, the painters' museum Gann Inns and François Millet’s studio. The guided tour through Fontainebleau Forest, will allow you to discover where Corot, Millet and Rousseau‘s inspiration came from.
In the morning, the meeting point will be at Barbizon / Avon Train Station (from Paris Gare de Lyon) – transfer to Barbizon. The guide will walk with you through the village to visit the museum Gann Inns or François Millet’s studio. The lunch time will be in a French cuisine restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will go on a two-hour hiking guided tour on Barbizon and « les Gorges d’Apremont » trails to discover the Impressionists’ landscapes. You can stop to visit the numerous of Barbizon's Art Galleries.
